Join the West Wirral "Gang"

So what makes a Gang Show so unique? its quite simply the Gang itself!

Every two years West Wirral Scouts and Guides join together to create the Gang that will entertain the Wirral over 3 nights at Easter. Just as we have done over the past 20 Years, we're now looking for our new Gang and we would love you to join us!

So who can Join?

Our gang is open to all Cubs and Brownies over the age of 9, to all Scouts, Guides, Explorers, Rangers, Network, Senior Section and also all Leaders within the area of West Wirral and Wallasey.

How Much does it cost?

There is no cost to join the gang and rehearsals are free too. There may be the odd item of costume you will need to buy but generally all we ask is that all members of the Gang sell as many tickets as they can leading up to the show.

Why do I have to "Audition"?

Each year we get a huge number of people who want to join our Gang, we try to let as many people join us as possible, but we can only fit a certain number of people on the stage. We find that running open auditions helps us to see the skills you have and where you might fit into the show. It also gives you a taste of the sorts of things you might do if your in the show.

What happens at the auditions? Will I be there on my own?

If you audition for the Gang, you will be with a group of about 10-20 other Scouts and Guides from our district auditioning at the same time, we will ask you as a group to sing for us, act out some sketches we have written and do some dancing, its a great way for you to see if Gang Show is for you!

Do I have to sing on my own?

The simple answer is no, singing is a big part of our show but we also have dancing and acting too. If singing is your thing and you would like to take a solo part we would love to give you the chance, just let us know on the audition day!

I'm a leader, can I join the Gang?

Most definitely Yes!, we welcome anyone to audition for the Gang, including leaders!
